KFC, the first international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in Suriname, opened its doors in September 1996 at Waterkant and begun serving the internationally acclaimed fried chicken in Suriname. This had substantial influence on local eating habits and set the standard for the QSR in the country. The second restaurant opened in February 1998 at Wilhelminastraat, which further added to the brand’s presence in Suriname.
In 2013 operations expanded with a third KFC restaurant at Kwattaweg. The fourth location opened in February 2016 at the Ringweg in Paramaribo. KFC Ringweg is built according to the latest international design.
KFC Suriname, as one of the largest in the QSR business in the country, owns its success to its dedicated team consisting of 150 staff members and their ability to maintain the brand standards of freshly prepared food. Because sales have grown substantially over the years, KFC Suriname has been able to achieve strong brand recognition.
The company policy is to further expand its influence by opening up new restaurants in strategic locations.
